Slideshows are commonly used by Professors to help students retain the key points of their lectures.

The following are three examples of slideshows on the CLPTN:

  1. “You’ve been served!! Are you Sure?…” is a slideshow created by Prof. Vanisha Sukdeo (Osgoode Hall) on the topic of essential rules of service in Ontario. The slides also contain a link to a quiz game on the website play.Kahoot.it which is a platform where students are able to compete against one another answering quiz questions via their smartphones.
  2. Costs and Access to Justice is a slideshow created by Prof. Andrew Nathanson (University of British Columbia) that provides an overview of costs, focusing on: “The indemnity principle, The purposes for which costs are awarded, Party and party costs, Special costs, Offers to settle, Security for costs, Interim costs, Special cost rules in class proceedings, and Contingency fees.”
  3. Introduction: Principles & Professional Obligations is a slideshow created by Professors Brook Greenberg and Joëlle Michaud (University of British Columbia), the slides cover “the underlying principles of the Rules and the conduct of civil litigation in B.C.; and some of the ethical and professional obligations of counsel in conducting litigation”.
